Universal Truths

We watched a segment of Rick Warren's "Preaching for Life Change" DVD set again today. Some of the team had seen it in Jan 2007 when I did a Kommunikation Klinik with them.

I was inspired by this reflection.
Rick said he knew these 6 things about every audience ... universal truths:

1. Everybody wants to be loved
2. Everyone wants their life to count
3. No matter how wealthy or successful, life is empty without Christ
4. Many of these people are carrying a load of guilt
5. Many are consumed with bitterness over a past hurt (resentment)
6. There is a universal fear of death

I reckon there is a Sunday preaching series in there somewhere......
