My WEALTH Thinkmap

I have been working with the richness of the word "wealth" recently... and have developed a thinkmap... and got some help from the visual thesaurus people.

Here is it......

The Bush Behind Our Home

Went for a walk in the nature reserve behind my home yesterday afternoon.

I took the camera with me and went in search of the elusive "storm bird."

The dog and I tracked him down to this tree. The bird is in this photo... if you have a keen enough eye. A bit like "where's Wally?"

I took some time to observe the detail of what I was standing near.

Lilley always likes to come for a walk with the boss!

Simple Pleasures

Life is full of simple pleasures... the little things that make up a great life.

A great cup of tea is one them.

What "simple pleasure" are you thankful for?

Hot Rod Car Randoms

I snapped these photos on the weekend on my iPhone.

There was a group of hot rod cars displayed at The Gift Christmas Spectacular at the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds.

There were some really nice cars.

And if you take the time to slow down... and admire... and really look.... this is what you can see.

Sunset @ The Lakes

Jethro and I went for a bike ride late this afternoon and it included 2 laps around Spring Lake at Springfield Lakes.

There were a lot of other locals out enjoying a great part of the day. Even the ducks!

Red Dawn in the Pacific

I have always admired the red dawn.
I look for it when I travel internationally and as I power across time
zones.

This time I got to see it with my son as we winged it to Hawaii. We have been talking about it for days leading up to the trip. His eyes were wide-opened as I explained a very red early morning as we rounded the globe.

And now we have seen it ... together.

Drawing of Me Sick - Priceless

I just love this drawing that my boy did for me when I was recently in hospital.

The kids have never seen me sick like that - so it was a bit of a shock.

This drawing just made my day!

The Waiting .... and the Bursting Forth!

I wait for the Lord to help me, and I trust his word.
I wait for the Lord to help me more than night watchmen wait for the dawn, more than night watchmen wait for the dawn.
Psalms 130:5-6 (NCV)

His Face Shines on You!

I just wrote another post about the rising sun today.

I really sensed God's love for me.... I am a son of the King... and His face shines on me.

I snapped this image... a bit raw.... but I captured a powerful & very personal God-moment.

The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favour) to you;
The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)

"Get out of bed, Jerusalem! Wake up. Put your face in the sunlight. God's bright glory has risen for you..."

Isaiah 60:1 (MSG)

PS - yes! I need to brush my hair early in the AM.

The Sunrise Collection - Phil Pringle

I did a post recently about Ps Phil Pringle.

He seems to like sunrise photos which he puts up on Twitter. I collect sunrise photos from mobile phones, as well as take my own.

Here is some of the "Phil Pringle collection." Enjoy!

PS - what time did the sun rise today in Brisbane?

Great Men of God - Phil Pringle

"I will make the godly of the land my heroes ..."

Psalms 101:6 (TLB).

I really like Ps Phil Pringle. He is a hero!

Here is a bit of what Wikipedia summarises....

Phil Pringle is a pastor, and together with his wife Christine, founder and current leader of the CCC pentecostal church movement. Often described as dynamic and inspiring, his speaking style has made him a well known preacher on the international Pentecostal circuit.

Phil Pringle has a wide-ranging international ministry, speaking in locations as varied as London, Amsterdam, Singapore, Durban, Uppsala, Auckland, Brisbane, Atlanta, New York and Portland.

Pringle is the founder and senior minister of Christian City Church Oxford Falls and founder and president of the Christian City Church International movement of churches......

I have been watching his ministry from afar for about 20 years. The family and I visited his church in October 2006 when we were on holidays in Sydney.

I saw this photo on Twitter recently:

And this is what Ps Phil wrote under his photo:

"Thinking about the three paintings I'm doing this Easter Sunday morning 9am. Getting the music right. I get close to tears thinking about about it listening to the music. See you in church!"
He is funny, creative, loves God and loves to pray.

I have learned alot about prayer and the anointing from him. And I have most of his books.

He has some great photos on Twitter, especially the sunrise photos from his mobile phone. Here is a sample.

I like the photos so much I collect them - and will do a separate post with the sunrise photo collection. watch out for that this Tuesday AM.

Blokes in a Shed - The Photos

We had another great night on Friday night with the blokes.

Thanks again to Coenraad and Bevan for their great organising.

Here are a few photos. My favourites are the ones with fire.

My boy enjoyed the fire too.

What man doesn't like fire??!!!
