Get Wisdom! - My Life Is at Stake

Reading Proverbs 4 this morning. Love it!

The BIG idea of the passage for me today was – “Get Wisdom!”

Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom! Write this at the top of your list: Get Understanding! Proverbs 4:7 (MSG)

Gizmo and I were talking about this yesterday – we are reading Proverbs. As men, the thing we need to pursue most is wisdom.

Then I was struck by the number of verbs in verses 20 to 27.

This proverbs-thing really is about “doing” and “application” and “living skilfully.”

“listen” - “tune” - “keep” – “concentrate” - “learn” - “keep” - “don't talk” - “ignore” - “watch” - “look” - “leave’
